Homemade Pizza Dough
Ingredients:
- 2 3/4 cups bread flour
- 3/4 cup of warm water
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 1 tablespoon mixed herbs (parsley, thyme, and oregano)
- 1 tablespoon sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Vegetable cooking spray
Directions:
Dissolve the yeast in the water with a sprinkle of sugar for 10 minutes or until bubbly. Place
in a food processor or mixer along with the salt, herbs, tomatoes, and flour, kneading about
5 minutes or until a ball forms. Place the dough in a bowl that has been sprayed with cooking
spray. Cover and place in a warm place to rise for 2 hours. Punch down and roll out onto a
floured surface, rolling to about 1/4-inch thick. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until
crisp and lightly brown. Place on a 12-inch pizza pan and top with your favorite sauce and
vegetables. Regular dough can be made with this recipe by eliminating the herbs and sun-dried tomatoes.
