Ginger Almond Pear Recipe
Ingredients:
- 5 Bartlett pears, peeled, and quartered lengthwise
- 3 cups apple cider
- 2 teaspoons fresh ginger, chopped
- 3 tablespoons arrowroot starch
- 1/3 teaspoon almond extract
- Pinch of salt
Directions:
Place the pears in a saucepan with the apple cider, ginger, and salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat,
and simmer for about 14 to 16 minutes or until the pears are tender. In a bowl, dissolve the
arrowroot in 1/3 cup of water. Add to the simmering pears, stirring until dissolved and thickened.
Remove from heat, add in the almond extract, and serve either warm or cold.
