Oatmeal Apple Pie
Ingredients:
Crust
- 2 cups slow cooking oatmeal, pulsed in a food processor or blender to make oatmeal flour
- 2 tablespoons barley sweetener
Filling
- 3 apples, cored, seeded, and diced
- Cinnamon and allspice to taste
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, mix the oatmeal and barley sweetener. Add the spices
and just enough water to make pastry dough. Place in a pie plate to form the piecrust. For the
filling, add in the apples and sprinkle with the spices. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until
golden brown and apples are tender.
