Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups white flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- Vegetable cooking spray
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 13 x 9-inch cake pan with cooking spray. In a
bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Make a well in the center and add
in the vanilla, vinegar, and apple sauce. Slowly add the water and mix well without over mixing.
Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in
the pan for 10 minutes before removing or cutting. Sprinkle the top with the powdered sugar.
