Bread Pudding



Ingredients:

  • 4 cups breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 2 apples, sliced thin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 egg whites

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, raisins, and apples. Add the milk and sugar. Mix well and let stand for 30 minutes. Beat the egg whites until foamy and add to the apple mixture along with the cinnamon and vanilla. Pour into a 1 1/2-quart baking dish and bake for 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
