Apple Crisp
Ingredients:
- 4 McIntosh apples, cut into 1/4-inch rings
- 1/4 teaspoon grated orange peel
- 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup gingersnap cookies, crushed
Directions:
Arrange the apple rings in a 9 1/2-inch microwave-safe baking dish and drizzle the orange
juice over the apples. In a bowl, mix the orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar.
Mix well and then sprinkle over the apples. Cover with wax paper and cook in the microwave
on high for 2 minutes, or until the apples are tender. Remove and top with the crushed
gingersnaps, and serve immediately.
Serves 4.
