Barbecue Beans
Ingredients:
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 1/4 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- Dash hot sauce
- 4 cups beans, cooked
Directions:
In a saucepan, sauté the onion, bell pepper, and garlic in about 1/4 cup of water for about
5 minutes. Add the dry mustard, cumin, turmeric, and chili powder, stirring to mix well. Add
the remaining ingredients and blend well. Cook on low heat for about 15 minutes
Serves 6.
